We are learning to discuss maths ideas - Lunchbox Maths


Lunchbox Maths

We unpacked the big boxes that were full of lunchboxes.
Before we opened the boxes we guessed how many lunchboxes would be inside.
We peeped inside and we noticed there were 6 on the top layer and 3 layers altogether.
Mackenzie calculated 6+ 6 is 12 and 6 more is 18.




We emptied all the lunchboxes and checked the number of lunchboxes..

We sorted the lunchboxes by colour.
There were the same number of blue and neon-red lunchboxes.
There were 8 green and purple lunchboxes.
We would need 4 more green lunchboxes to match the number of neon-red 
lunchboxes.





We are learning to identify the letter sounds - A is for apples



A is for Apples

Our apple tree has a good crop of apples.
We thought of adjectives to describe our apples.
We created signs asking people to leave our apples - they are not quite ripe yet!
