Cakes fit for Kings and Queens!

We had a cake day in Moana today!

We read The King's Cake by Jill Eggleton, but before we read it, we imagined what kind of cakes we would have if we were kings and queens. We wrote about them and then drew them.

Then we read the story. It was funny because the king couldn't blow out all his birthday candles!

After this, it was time to make our own special cakes - PANCAKES! We worked together and used the 111 recipe to make our pancakes - 1 egg, 1 cup of self-raising flour and 1 cup of milk. (You can use any flour and any kind of milk.)

We chose our toppings, and mmmmmm, they were yummy to eat!

With full tummies, we completed our cake art. We painted some, coloured some and glued on bits to make our cakes look extra yummy. Have a look at the work we did. Doesn't it make you hungry and want to eat like a king or queen?
