We have been doing lots of collaborative learning; some of the Te Kinga students taught us some Maths games.

As you know we have been learning all about Water and here are some of the activities we have completed. We drew around puddles to see how much water was there was after an hour in the sun.

The water had evaporated due to the sun heating it up. The water had changed from a liquid to a gas; water vapor.

Ask your child to explain the water cycle.

We have been learning our alphabet sounds and high frequency in our daily 5
Check out our learning in literacy.

Box Construction day and lots more.

We have had a very busy morning doing box construction. Some students did collage and picture collages from other pictures.

Leo enjoyed making collage pictures.

Sam made a cool guitar and a boat.

Georgie enjoys creating pictures in collage.

This is a very cool marble run that the boys created with a little help from their teacher.

Georgie creating collage pictures.

These guys made an amazing castle for pigs.

So much learning-
Collaboration, co-operation, problem-solving, maths concepts, cutting skills, and fine motor skills.
The students showed a lot of perseverance and creativity.

What on Earth?

We have been learning about how on earth the earth and space work.

The children have asked lots of questions about Planet Earth and beyond.

These are some of the questions the students asked. So we looked at how the earth came to be.
We looked at some cool videos on youtube that explained it in child speak. We talked a lot about this and shared our ideas and understanding. The pictures are of their understanding and interpreting representation.
